Dear friends,

Another year is coming to a close. It was turbulent, tempestuous and impetuous. Emotions filled out rooms, halls and streets. Reason timidly tried to swing a cat in. The Good continued waging its never ending war with the Evil. The beauty was often ruthlessly and shamelessly beaten by beasts. Freeloading prevailed and achievement was given credit too rare and far between.
Freedom was sacrificed for the sake of “sausage” by too many. Too few were ready to fight for liberty. Too many believed that liberty is for good, for granted and for free. Free lunches for few turned into misfortune to many. Lessons of history unlearnt.

The year of 2008 was too mundane for stormy times. The Crowd has been ignoring the Individual far too long. Satiety of food, glamour, pop culture and self-indulgence washed away frugality, perseverance and genuine art. Judgment Day is still to come. The day when you personally will judge what is fair and what is unjust, what is moral and what is dissolute, what is right and what is wrong.
Get ready to judge and to be judged. Faire and square. Openly and transparently. Sleep over with your judgments and change! Yourself and your neighborhood! Dare change the world? Adjust to new reality. Accommodate the inevitable. Transform daily routine into a holiday. Displace a frown with a smile. Shift a break to full speed.
The passing year will be remembered for sparkles of passion and love in the eyes of the beloved. Some days were filled with finger-licking-good dishes, soul-soothing dusks and spirit-boosting dawns. It is grand to recognize quality in every day life. It is grandiose to create it.
On a few occasions you noticed the sublime and did not ridicule it. You had enough self-esteem to honor it. Many times the ugly poured on you. Hurray if you took the challenge and beat it. If there was just one day in 2008 when you were a hero it will remain a memorable year. Savor the flavor of being a Batman, a Hercules or an Achilles. You will need this freedom aphrodisiac in 2009.
May New Year destroy pathologies of the crowd and limitations of free choice. May gregarious benevolent spirit embrace you and befriend you with the energy to create, the thirst to learn and the power to change.
Fancy becoming a hero! Choose building blocks carefully. Water the seeds of genuine character. Nourish stem cells of a kind heart. Blend all ingredients skillfully to mold the person of integrity. If you make a few steps toward this goal in 2009 you will be proud of yourself. You will come closer to your stardom which is in the hearts and minds of the people you respect and love.
